Get Delay & Closure Updates

In Tooele County School District, our community expects timely communications, especially during safety concerns, like inclement weather. Because each weather-related call is based on current and forecasted conditions, we often publish a final decision early in the morning, rather than the night before. With winter conditions uncertain and further observations necessary, our crews start evaluating road conditions at midnight. Decisions to close the district are often made by 5:30 a.m.

While anyone can proactively check tooeleschools.org for updates, or watch for local media reports, below are options identified as fast and reliable methods for finding out when a district-wide delay or closure is announced.

New School Survey

Tooele County School District is seeking community input as they prepare to build three new schools in Grantsville, Stansbury Park, and North Tooele. Please take a moment to offer your suggestions for a school name, mascot, and school colors. Thank you for your time. https://bit.ly/3aLefTW

District Moves To SSO, Need Updated Contacts

The district is working towards a single-sign-on system so students only need one username and password for all of their accounts. This process will begin on January 29. In order to do this, it is imperative for parents/guardians to check their ASPIRE accounts and verify that their email address is correct and in the correct field, especially if they currently have their email listed in the student email field. (This process should take less than five minutes. Please click on the title for additional instructions on how to update this information). Thank you!

DLI Applications now open

The Dual Language Immersion enrollment application is open from January 15 to March 15.
Applications are open to all students in the district who are entering first grade in the fall of 2021 (except Anna Smith Elementary, which begins its Spanish program in kindergarten).

Free COVID-19 testing held at Stansbury High School

The Utah Department of Health, in coordination with Tooele County School District, will have free COVID-19 testing at Stansbury High School. There will be four testing dates available at SHS in the cafeteria/commons area from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.  You must register prior to coming, wear a mask, and social distance while at the site.
